About This Installation
Created for Enjoy Illinois and J. Walter Thompson, #AmazingForAll celebrates LGBTQ+ inclusion, visibility, and community through public art.
Installed in Chicago’s historic Northalsted neighborhood, the sculpture transforms a tourism campaign message into a permanent public landmark. The colorful letterforms create an approachable gathering place while reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of Chicago’s LGBTQ+ community.
Designed to encourage interaction and photography, the work has served as a backdrop for countless celebrations, community events, and personal moments since its installation.
Each letter is fabricated in a different color, creating a vibrant visual statement that welcomes visitors while reinforcing the campaign’s message that Illinois is a place for everyone.
In 2026, the sculpture received a complete repaint and restoration in partnership with the Northalsted Business Alliance, ensuring the work continues to welcome visitors for years to come.
