About the Installation

Installed in 2015 in Chicago’s Roscoe Village neighborhood, this You Are Beautiful installation sits along the edge of Fellger (Charles) Park at Belmont and Damen, bringing a bold and welcoming message into a shared public space.

Funded by the Roscoe Village Neighbors Association and installed in partnership with the Chicago Park District, the piece stretches 40 feet along the fence line, using scale to create immediate presence within a busy neighborhood intersection.

By enlarging the letters, the message becomes visible from a distance, meeting pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers as part of their daily routines through the area.
