About the Installation

Installed at the Marriott Marquis Chicago at McCormick Place, Over and Over and Over uses repeated handwritten text to create a large-scale dimensional artwork within a public interior.

Constructed from layered acrylic mounted to a wood backer and metal framework, the piece stretches 22 feet across the wall of the hotel lobby environment. The repeated phrase forms a shifting visual field where language becomes texture, pattern, and movement.

Depending on viewing distance, the installation transforms from readable text into an abstract sculptural surface shaped by light and shadow. Guests moving through the space encounter the work differently throughout the day, creating a continually changing experience within the architecture.
