About the Installation

You Are Beautiful is installed on the exterior of Taft High School in the Norwood Park neighborhood of Chicago, spanning the length of the building’s facade.

The project began when a student asked their art teacher if there was a way to bring the message to their school. With support from the teacher and principal, the idea became a permanent installation.

Scaled to the architecture, each letter measures approximately 4’ x 8’, creating a bold presence that is visible to students, the surrounding neighborhood, and commuters traveling along I-90.
